Most folk will be familiar with the warm welcome at the Ropetackle bars when they come to a show. Not only is there a large selection of bottled and draught drinks available – including ales, lagers, ciders, spirits, wine, and soft drinks – but there’s also a choice of snacks.

This month, however, there’s been an exciting new development, with the launch of our very own “Ropetackle” brands. We have teamed up with a leading English brewer to produce “Ropetackle” lager in a German style using mainly Pilsner hops; it’s a refreshingly light-tasting but full-bodied export-quality lager at 4.00 ABV. The “Ropetackle” cider is made for us in Herefordshire and is full of apple flavour with a hint of sweetness and a lovely dry finish, coming in at 4.6% ABV.

The distinctive Ropetackle badges were designed by our very own marketing assistant Anna, and although both drinks are premium products, we are keeping prices the same as our other draught beers.

Bar manager Douglas Hill, pictured, said “We served up the first pints at the Limehouse Lizzy gig and they’ve both gone down really well.”

The Ropetackle bars open 45 minutes before the start of the show and at 6.30pm if there is a pre-show supper. They are manned by bar-trained volunteers. We look forward to seeing you there soon – Cheers!
