Our team with their Adur & Worthing Business Awards trophy in 2023.

Winners of the Hospitality, Tourism & Leisure category.

Staff and volunteers at Ropetackle Arts Centre are celebrating this week. We’ve made the shortlist in the Small Business category of the 2026 Adur & Worthing Business Awards!

The judges received an exceptional number of high-quality entries this year, so making the final five is something we’re very proud of. We’re in great company too, alongside Blue Billboard, DBK Aero, Event Travel Hub and Mindworks Escape Rooms. Congratulations to them and to every finalist (see the full shortlist).

Flying the flag for the arts

There’s no category dedicated to our sector this year, so we’re flying the flag for the arts in the Small Business category. It’s not our first time at the awards either. We were Highly Commended in the Hospitality, Tourism & Leisure category in 2022, then went on to win it in 2023.

Judges in this category look for a clear vision, a sustainable business and a real understanding of what makes it different. For us, that means live music, comedy, theatre, film, classes and community events, right here in Shoreham. And none of it happens without our brilliant staff and volunteers.

The big night

We’ll find out who has won at the awards evening at The Charmandean Centre, Worthing, on Friday 6 November. Fingers crossed!

How you can cheer us on

There’s no public vote, because a panel of judges picks the winners. Even so, there are plenty of ways to show your support. Share this news and tag us (@ropetackleart) and the awards (@awbawards). You could also book a show from our What’s On page, or join us as a Friend or Patron. Every ticket and every membership helps a local charity keep the arts thriving in Shoreham.

Thank you to our staff, volunteers, artists, audiences, Friends and Patrons. This shortlisting belongs to all of you.

We’ll keep you posted!
