Country icon’s daughter follows in his footsteps

Ashley Campbell, youngest daughter of music legend Glen Campbell, will be live on stage on Tuesday 11 July and we can’t wait!

Come and enjoy an intimate evening in with the amazing Ashley Campbell Trio, a cool beer or an ice-cold glass of wine. A fantastic opportunity to get out of the heat, relax and enjoy top-quality music with family and friends or perhaps meet new people with a passion for country.

Released in 2014 when she was just 27 years old, Ashley Campbell’s debut single was ‘Remembering’, a heart-wrenching tribute to her father, about his struggle with Alzheimer’s. The song is also featured on the soundtrack of the Grammy-winning documentary Glen Campbell: I’ll be me featuring stars such as Bruce Springsteen, U2’s The Edge and Paul McCartney. The film chronicles Glen Campbell’s family life and 141-date farewell tour.

Now aged 36, Ashley will be performing with Thor Jensen and Richard Anderson, with Ashley on vocals and banjo, Thor on guitar and vocals and Richard on bass.

Ashley is gifted with the ability to modernise the country song, offering a contemporary touch to the genre and her work draws from multiple influences such as classic country music – the genre which her father was so iconic in – and more modern pop music. While her music pulls from Glen Campbell’s work, she distinguishes herself as an individual artist in the country genre; clearly, talent runs in the family.

Tickets are £15 and you can enjoy a delicious pre-show supper.
