On Monday 31st Jan, we were thrilled to welcome children from two local primaries to Ropetackle for exclusive morning and afternoon performances of Robin’s Winter Adventure. Around 250 children in total enjoyed the wonderful heart-warming show about a boy and his family who have to move from the country to London and how he faces his fears.
With professional actors, puppets, poetry, music and a fantastic set, the children were mesmerised from the get-go. Huge thanks to Tina Williams of Pied Piper Theatre for all her work in putting this fantastic show together but also involving the schools. It is definitely something we want to do again.
Children get so much from the theatre…inspiration, imagination, excitement, connection – it really is something we encourage.
The feedback from the schools was lovely too!
Buckingham Park:
Thank you so much for having us! The children loved it (as well as the adults) and they are still talking about it now.
Swiss Gardens Primary:
Thank you so much for having us on Monday, the children absolutely loved it! For many of them it was the first time they had experienced not only a live performance but also a school trip and so it was a great success all round. We have planned some lovely follow up activities such as bird watching, writing winter poetry and exploring facts about robins, even Early Years have been on an imaginary trip to London and had tea and cream scones at the end!
