Today we report the sad news that valued Ropetackle volunteer Budge passed away suddenly at his home in Worthing on Sunday. He will be remembered by many of our volunteers, staff and customers.

Chairman Martin Allen said: “As a volunteer during our early years, Budge also lent us his invaluable graphic design skill, designing posters, including the memorable image for our famous Art and Science series with Sussex University. A chap with an extraordinary store of general knowledge, he also had a dry, often acerbic sense of humour.

“He will be greatly missed.”
