About this event
Tina, Queen of Rhythm once again returns to the place where the journey truly began — The Ropetackle Arts Centre.
After three years of electric, packed out homecomings, Tina, Queen of Rhythm (aka TQOR) is thrilled to return once again to one of their most beloved venues — the very stage where their journey began with a sellout debut in 2023.
For 2026, the show arrives with a refreshed, electrifying set list featuring brand new additions including “Private Dancer” (finally!) and a vibrant mix of dance floor favourites that promise to lift both sets to new heights. It’s a dynamic, rhythm driven celebration designed to thrill longtime fans and win over new hearts discovering Tina’s magic for the first time.
Fronted by acclaimed Sussex soul vocalist Ruby Rose — affectionately known as “Pocket Rocket” and familiar to many from her years with Soul Coast Soul Revue and The Frank Greene Band — Ruby was honoured to be invited to perform as part of Ropetackle’s 18th Birthday Celebrations. She also had the privilege of supporting her idol and favourite Ikette, PP Arnold, on this very stage in 2019 — a night made even more special when PP told her she reminded her of Gloria Scott. With Ruby at the helm and an elite live band behind her, Tina, Queen of Rhythm delivers fierce vocals, soulful storytelling, deep grooves and unstoppable energy.
A high energy, powerhouse, heart filled tribute that honours Tina Turner’s legacy… and honours the place where it all began.
