“The Furrow Collective have an air of immeasurable antiquity, while at the same time making songs vibrantly new” ~ R2 Magazine

Described by MOJO as “a mouth-watering collaboration”, Alasdair Roberts, Emily Portman, Lucy Farrell and Rachel Newton are four fine soloists sharing a mutual love of traditional songs, from both sides of the English and Scottish borders, with playful, boundary-defying musicianship.

Since their critically acclaimed debut in 2014, The Furrow Collective have been in high demand, touring and gigging throughout Europe and performing live sessions for the BBC. Hot on the heels of two BBC Radio 2 Folk Award nominations, the band released their latest album ‘Wild Hog’ in November 2016 to huge critical acclaim.

Each member leads a song, moving with ease from jaunty stories of ailing horses, to poignant laments and sparsely adorned supernatural ballads. This is folk at its very best.
