A teenager from the slums of Mumbai becomes a contestant on the show ‘Who Wants to be a Millionaire?’. When interrogated under suspicion of cheating, he revisits his past, revealing how he has all the answers. The cultural relevance, innovative storytelling and emotional resonance of the film served well to earn the film 8 Academy Awards.
