‘You're my best friend…‘She's Dustin Hoffman and he's Tootsie’
Michael Dorsey (Dustin Hoffman) is an actor who is unemployed because of a 'difficult' reputation. When a friend lands a role in a daytime TV Soap Opera, Dorsey dresses as Dorothy Michaels in a successful attempt to be cast as hospital administrator. The character is a great success and becomes a feminist icon, so Michael needs to remain Dorothy (nicknamed Tootsie) in public, with inevitable comic consequences for him and the co-star he falls in love with, while both her father and a male co-star think they're in love with Tootsie! Nominated for ten Oscars.
Relaxed viewing films are open to everyone, but the softer lighting and relaxed layout make them particularly suitable for people with memory loss or dementia.
