John McCusker is one of the UK’s most respected traditional musicians — a multi-award-winning fiddle player, composer and producer who has been at the heart of the folk scene for over three decades. Known for his expressive playing and powerful compositions, he has worked with artists including Mark Knopfler, David Gilmour, Eric Clapton and Paul Weller, and has performed on some of the world’s biggest stages.
His production work includes albums by Kris Drever, Roddy Woomble, Eddi Reader and Kate Rusby, alongside film and TV soundtracks.
The trio features acclaimed singer Sam Kelly and virtuoso multi-instrumentalist Toby Shaer. Together they deliver an exciting blend of original tunes, traditional melodies and contemporary folk songs, combining instrumental brilliance, warmth and energy in a truly captivating live performance.
