Southern Gothic with a bite
Sinners is a highly acclaimed genre-blending southern gothic horror period drama. Set in racially-segregated Mississippi in the 1930s it stars Michael B. Jordan who excels playing both brothers ‘Smoke’ and ‘Stack’ returning to their roots after 7 years in Chicago to set up a venue selling liquor and playing ‘the blues’. The problem is that the ‘devil’s music’ attracts devils. Be careful not to invite them in!
