Saxophonist and multi-instrumentalist, Charlotte brings a huge bag of tricks to play with her, and this evening will be no exception. Saxophones, flutes, and more all feature, along with Mark Bassey on Trombone, Chris Kibble on Piano, Lloyd Coote on bass and sousaphone, and Sam Glasson on Drums and Percussion. Theirs is a contemporary jazz, free of anxiety, yet full of grace and fun, bringing to mind the endless skies of a summer morning, or the hot buzz of a glorious seaside sunset. This is music for a positive frame of mind, music made of smiles. They will be playing tunes off their new album Jazz Spiders.
Plus, the show will include an introduction to Yellow Moon, Charlotte’s new project featuring Robin Jones in n nylon string guitar, Sam Dorrell on bass and Sudhi Poonyil on tablas.
