An Evening with Paul Johnson
Saturday 30th March 2019 - Starts 8pm
TICKET PRICE: £10
As the TV and radio “go-to man” for all issues related to the nation’s finances, Paul Johnson, director of the highly respected Institute for Fiscal Studies, makes a welcome return to his home town of Shoreham-by-Sea, giving an exclusive talk at Ropetackle.
The IFS has established an enviable reputation for its authoritative analysis and independence, cited regularly by all party leaders despite its readiness to question, and where necessary, criticise their pronouncements. Since the Brexit vote, the IFS has provided extensive analysis and warnings of the likely impact on the UK’s economy.
As well has being head of the IFS, Johnson is a member of the statutory Committee on Climate Change and the Banking Standards Board, the remit of both being hugely important at the present time. If you are interested in the financial state of the nation, the day after we’re due to officially leave the European Union, this is sure to be a scintillating evening.
