A unique Robert Redford tour-de-force as the only actor in this film about a lone yachtsman who wakes to find his boat filling with water after a nighttime collision in the middle of the ocean – what's more, there's a storm approaching. More difficulties lie in store, handled by our resourceful hero until all seems lost… but is it? Not surprisingly, the movie was nominated for a host of awards and won general critical acclaim.
