For the 2017 South Coast Jazz Festival Ropetackle opened its doors to everyone through a series of free events and activities, encouraging all to experience the joys of jazz.

Each day featured a free DJ set of classic tunes, with complimentary cups of tea on offer. Additionally, Jazz For Juniors workshops gave 11-16 year olds the opportunity to play with professional musicians, developing their confidence and honing their skills.

Local big band Terry Pack’s Trees also performed a free concert to a packed auditorium on the closing day. Free tickets were further given out to various groups across the festival weekend.
