Thea Gilmore is a fiercely independent singer-songwriter whose career spans more than 20 albums since her 1998 debut, Burning Dorothy. Known for raw, emotive songwriting and sensitive reinterpretations of others’ work, she released These Quiet Friends in 2025, a collection of deeply personal cover versions.
She also created The Echo Line, a project turning anonymous voice messages into songs, featured by BBC Radio 4 and BBC 6 Music. A compelling live performer, Gilmore has recently completed successful solo tours and supported Richard Hawley. Her music has appeared in films including Joyride and Army Of The Dead, and she has collaborated with artists such as Bruce Springsteen and Billy Bragg.
