An eclectic programme of 10 films for just £35
There is nothing like watching a film the way it is supposed to be seen – on a big screen in a darkened room with other people.
If you love watching films on the big screen with full surround sound, meeting like-minded people, being involved in your local cinema and not having to worry about steep parking prices or negotiating the crowds, then the Ropetackle Film Club is for you!
There are a total of ten films in each season. Membership for Season 11 starts in September 2023 and runs until June 2024. The annual membership costs just £35. There are no other charges, members may bring a guest, the ticket price is £7.

A year’s membership costs just £35 and the benefits include:
- an eclectic programme of ten films, including art-house, old classics, recent favourites and foreign films
- the opportunity to contribute to the choice of films for the next season
- an invitation to the AGM where your voice will be heard and your vote will count
- you may be offered additional treats like a free film, an additional film at a reduced price or have a post film complementary drink

As a Film Club member, you will be able contribute to the choice of films for the next season and have a voice and a vote at the AGM. There is a flourishing Film Club Facebook page for your comments and ideas.
Films start at 7.30pm, and are usually shown on the second Thursday of each month.
Members receive an email around one week before the film showing, giving some details about the forthcoming film and the pre-supper menu (you can opt out of receiving this.)
