Twist Oliver Twist Dickens Shoreham Ropetackle

A radical stage adaptation of Dickens’ classic novel.

By National Theatre writer Chino Odimba.

Oliver Twist’s struggle for sanctuary is transformed into a modern tale, framed by the global phenomenon fast defining the 21st century.

Teeming with Dickens’ audacious characters and invigorated by the writing of award-winning Chino Odimba, this bold retelling of a Victorian masterpiece will challenge intolerance with urgency and compassion.

Twist is one boy’s search for home among nameless millions, known simply as ‘migrants’.

In a world where home is but a fragile thing and good fortune just a turn of fate, Twist is about having the temerity to ask for more.

Written by Chino Odimba. Produced by Theatre Centre. Suitable for ages 13+
