The Wellington Wailers Sea Shanty Crew

Come join The Wellington Wailers, Shoreham by Sea’s sea shanty crew and their friends Celtic Country as they relax in one of their favourite haunts. The Wailers will be at their nautical and amusing best, singing shanties and songs of the sea led by the mercurial Mike Green.

The Wailers will be recreating those bygone days of sail, where only the muscles of the sailors aboard were available to hoist the sails and man the capstan and the pumps. It was hard work, where a good song, led by the shantyman, was worth ten men on a rope.

This show was originally scheduled for Thursday 26th March 2020, and then moved to 6th February and 26 June 2021 in line with government guidelines. Tickets bought for all shows remain valid for the October date.
