Local and Live presents: The Poetry of Emily Dickinson with John McCullough

John McCullough won this year’s Hawthornden prize for literature with his poetry collection, Reckless Paper Birds. He was also the judge of Wordfest’s 2020 Poetry Competition and is a lecturer at Sussex University. John will lead a workshop inspired by his passion for the poetry of Emily Dickinson. He will introduce her poetry and then concentrate on three particular poems for discussion with the participants.

This will be a small group to allow maximum participation within health and safety guidelines.

Part of the Local and Live mini-festival, a joint initiative between Ropetackle Arts Centre and Shoreham Wordfest, to celebrate the creativity of local writers, musicians, actors and poets and the return to live performance.

LOCAL AND LIVE FESTIVAL PASS: Enjoy 10 events* for just £60. Discount applied at the checkout.  *Excludes: The Noise Next Door, The Snow Queen and Frank Greene Band and The Beta Rays.
