Local and Live presents: The Legends of Eerie on Sea by Thomas Taylor

Thomas Taylor is an award-winning author and illustrator, whose first commission out of art school was the cover art for Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, by J K Rowling.

Come and hear Thomas share the inspiration behind his own bestselling book Malamander, see some of the weird and wonderful things he found on the beach while he wrote it, and ask him questions about the strange world of Eerie-on- Sea.

Malamander was chosen as the Brighton & Hove City Reads book for young adults, and the setting bears a curious resemblance to a seaside resort somewhere near you. The sequel, Gargantis is just out. Both books will be available to buy at the event.

These books are of interest to children aged 7- 12 upwards.

Part of the Local and Live mini-festival, a joint initiative between Ropetackle Arts Centre and Shoreham Wordfest, to celebrate the creativity of local writers, musicians, actors and poets and the return to live performance.
