Ropetackle and Uke @ The Duke are proud to present the 5th Sussex Ukulele Festival.
This year’s festival will retain its participatory feel with workshops, jams and collaboration between ukulele players of all ages and abilities. Our star attraction will be the world premiere of Richard Durrant’s concerto Six Grooves For Ukulele*.
Other highlights include acclaimed Wiltshire based singer/songwriter Jess Vincent, Brazilian instrumental wizard Silvio, traditional songs and great harmonies from Folk Uke, bouncy barmen WOB, plus students from the Robert Woodard Academy.
Beginners workshops are free so come along to get started. You can even borrow a uke!
If you would like to participate in the workshops, please email: firstname.lastname@example.org
The daytime festival runs from 11.30am – 6pm, admission is just £2.
*Richard’s performance is a separate ticketed event, starting 7pm, click here for more information and to book.
