Studio 9 Orchestra feat. Tony Kofi

Formed in 2011, the Studio 9 Orchestra is a 19-piece ensemble that has established itself as one of the most creative and innovative jazz ensembles in the south.

With a diverse repertoire ranging from Latin to swing, ballads to funk, the orchestra perform work by established contemporary composers including Maria Schneider and Kenny Wheeler, alongside arrangements by talented local composers – including from some of its own members.

Expect arrangements of jazz standards from Charles Mingus to Astor Piazzolla, plus a little Radiohead and other surprises…!

For this unique concert the Studio 9 Orchestra will be joined by truly talented singer Red Gray, as well as special guest saxophonist Tony Kofi, a multi-award winning musician and jazz educator and staple of the British jazz scene for many years.

Prepare to be swept away by the powerful sound of a full jazz orchestra plus the accompanying talents of Red and Tony.
