Ropetackle Film Club: To Have and Have Not

‘Talk about TNT – this is it!’

American expatriate Harry Morgan and his alcoholic sidekick based in Martinique crew a boat available for hire. WW2 is happening around them and they are forced by the Resistance to transport a French Resistance Captain and his beautiful wife on the run from the Nazis to Martinique. Meanwhile there’s the steamy relationship running between Morgan and Marie Browning, Resistance sympathiser and sassy singer in the club where Morgan spends most of his days.

Howard Hawks directs Bogart and Bacall in this iconic film.

We're serving a delicious meal in our foyer before this event from 6pm. A two-course meal (main + dessert) costs £12, main course only for £10, dessert only for £3.
