1979 British film loosely based on the 1973 rock opera of the same name by The Who. A bank holiday weekend provides the excuse for the rivalry between mods and rockers to come to a head as they descend on the seaside town of Brighton.
Music by The Who, directed by Franc Roddam, and starring Phil Daniels, Leslie Ash, and Sting.
Cinema Plus: local author, Christopher Morlock, who wrote ‘Brighton In The Sixties’, will give an overview of life in Brighton during the mods and rockers period illustrating his talk with slides.
