QOW Trio

QOW TRIO return to Ropetackle after their sell-out show in May 2021.

Young tenor sax hero Riley Stone-Lonergan is a regular at Ronnie Scott’s, drummer Spike Wells is a UK jazz legend who has played with everyone from Tubby Hayes to Stan Getz, and Eddie Myer is a mainstay of the Brighton jazz scene. Together they are QOW TRIO, playing a take on the classic tenor trio line-up that echoes the greats such as Sonny Rollins and John Coltrane with a whole bag of unexpected twists and turns.

QOW TRIO’s debut album was chosen in JazzWise Magazines top 20 releases of 2021 – they will be playing selections from the record and new material they’ve been working on across a summer of club and festival appearances.

Expect heartfelt, swinging contemporary jazz with a strong emphasis on groove and melody and exciting spontaneous improvisation by three master musicians.
