Photography workshops and beach clean
Saturday 21st March 2020 - Starts 9am-2pm
TICKET PRICE: £free
Get involved with this fun photography project before you head to the beach or afterwards for some creative fun.
Join Photoworks, a Brighton-based national arts charity, and pupils from West Sussex schools for a creative beach clean and some inspiring photography workshops. Help clean the beaches from Shoreham-by-Sea to Worthing with the pupils, their teachers, families, artists and local environmental groups, then take part in a series of free, drop-in family friendly photography workshops at Ropetackle, supported by undergraduates from the University of Brighton and inspired by the beach clean.
Students from Shoreham Academy, Sir Robert Woodard Academy, Steyning Grammar School, Worthing High School, and Davison High School have been exploring marine pollution on our coastline and learning why urgent changes are needed to protect our oceans and coastlines from plastic pollution, supported by Photoworks, the Marine Conservation Society and a range of photographers and scientists. Their work will be on show during the day for all to enjoy.
Funded by Rampion through the Sussex Community Foundation. www.photoworks.org.uk
