An opportunity to hear the great US soul and blues singer Nicole Henry, on her way to opening the 2017 London Jazz Festival.

Nicole’s potent combination of dynamic vocals, impeccable phrasing, and powerful emotional resonance have made her one of the jazz world’s most acclaimed singers. Her repertoire includes the Great American Songbook, classic and contemporary jazz standards, plus blues and originals. She will also perform songs from her album celebrating the legendary song stylist, Nancy Wilson.
Nicole’s passionate, soulful voice and heartfelt charisma has earned her numerous accolades from the Soul Train Award for “Best Traditional Jazz Performance” to three Top-10 US Billboard and HMV Japan jazz albums. Add to this rave reviews from around the world and you have a bona fide star of jazz, blues and soul.
For her Ropetackle show, Nicole is accompanied by an ensemble of leading UK jazz stars including Chris Ingham (piano), Paul Higgs (trumpet), Arnie Somogyi (double bass), and George Double (drums).
