This is one of only a handful of British dates – an absolute treat!
This angelic French tribe has been roving the world with its heterogeneous and eclectic musical luggage for 25 years already. Not a band, rather a caravan, a collective of incorrigible back-packers tightrope walkers /globe-trotters, open to every experience and every encounter. Through a dozen records, Lo’Jo’s gang, coming from punk, jazz, rock, and chanson, has explored as many musical lines as continents.
As Denis Péan, lead singer and songwriter, says, “Our music is an anarchic garden we try to cultivate so as to make it both beautiful and wild. We are like farmers: we play with time.”
There are six members: Denis the poet, who sings and plays the barrel organ or Indian harmonium, Nadia and Yamina, the singing sisters and whirling muses, Richard, the bow virtuoso, Alex the bass player and Baptiste, the drummer.
