The Hastings Philharmonic Orchestra performs one of Stravinsky’s masterpieces in a staged production of L’Histoire du Soldat (A Soldier’s Tale) directed by Marcio da Silva.

L’Histoire du Soldat is a riveting musical-theatrical masterpiece by Igor Stravinsky and Charles-Ferdinand Ramuz. It unfolds a Faustian fable of a soldier who trades his violin to the devil for wealth. The pulsating rhythms and captivating narrative create an electrifying journey, blending music and drama with spellbinding allure.

The production will tell the story using stage acting, puppeteering, and a minimalist set. It will be performed in English and French with English surtitles.
