Iconic progressive rock band live in concert.

Arguably the most successful group to emerge from Dutch pop-rock of the 70s, Focus is fronted by legendary founding member Thijs van Leer who holds the distinction of being the first knighted musician in Holland. Since formation Focus have achieved several hit singles including ‘House Of The King’ and ‘Hocus Pocus’ (featured by Nike in their 2010 World Cup commercial) as well as critically acclaimed albums from ‘Moving Waves’ and ‘Focus 3’ to ‘Hamburger Concerto’.

After a comeback in the early 2000s, the band have since regrouped with a rejuvenated new line-up; joining Thijs van Leer on vocals, flute and keyboards is celebrated drummer Pierre van der Linden (from their early-70s era), bassist Bobby Jacobs and guitarist Menno Gootjes. Still going strong and with renewed passion, their show at Ropetackle offers a rare chance to see this iconic band live in concert performing songs from their extensive back catalogue.
