Christmas Shopping with Chris Difford

Chris Difford is best known as co-founder and songwriter in one of Britain’s favourite and most loved bands – Squeeze.

Along with his long-time collaborator Glenn Tilbrook, Chris has written some of the most enduring and best-loved pop songs of our time. Up The Junction, Cool For Cats, Labelled With Love and Tempted, to name but a few. Along the way he has picked up two Ivor Novellos and countless other accolades rewarding his profound ability to write relatable and catchy lyrics inspired by sketches from everyday life.

It has been over 27 years since Chris held his first songwriting retreat which now command huge respect within the industry. With his innate understanding of how to help people tell their own stories he has also movingly taken these out of the mainstream and run them in hospices, prisons and rehabs with some deeply emotive songs being written.

Chris is well known for his nurturing and mentoring of younger talent and his songwriting workshops and retreats have become a natural extension of that.

Solo acoustic concert, plus Q&A. Support TBC.
