About this event
Enjoy an evening charting the development of the jazz orchestra from Ellington’s ‘jungle’ music of the 1920s, Basie’s 1930s Kansas style, 40s war-time swing through to 1950s modernism and beyond.
Featuring classics from Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Glen Miller and Charlie Barnett.
Led by Chris Coull (trumpets), and featuring Lucy Pickering (vocals), Gabriel Garrick and Andy Panayi (alto sax), Mike Pilley (trombone), Terry Seabrook (piano), Rhys Lovell (bass), and Peter Cater (drums).
This will be an unmissable evening celebrating the best in swing music.
