African Night Fever Presents: Rum, Rice ‘n’ Peas Reggae Party

The sounds and tastes of Jamaica and the Caribbean comes to The Ropetackle for an evening of none stop dancing to the mighty beats of skanking roots Reggae and Dance hall.

After their sold-out show in 2016 with popular demand, Earl 16 and his band are known as some of the pioneers of modern reggae beats and are here to entertain you! Earl 16 also known as Daley is influenced by his mentor Dennis Brown, began his singing career by entering local talent competitions and later became the lead vocalist for The Flaming Phonics, before pursuing a solo career where he recorded Hey Baby and Malcom X.

Earl has in recent years been a regular front man of the British electronic reggae band Dread Zone as a vocalist. Earl has been working with producers in the UK and Europe, as well as doing shows with Thomas Evers of Rockers International Artist Agency, worldwide as a Reggae Ambassador. He started his own label, Merge Production, releasing previously unreleased vinyl from the 1970s and 1980s.
