100 Years Of Jazz In 99 Minutes – The Jazz Repertory Company
Saturday 20th January 2018 -
7pm – 7.30pm: Q&A | 8pm: Main Show
“The musical equivalent of the Reduced Shakespeare Company, in which none of the major musical soliloquies gets left out.” ~ The Times
“Genuinely needs to be seen to be believed. Don’t miss out!” ~ Jazz UK
This hugely entertaining show features six multi-instrumentalists performing the most significant music in jazz history. Presented with wit and knowledge by all six musicians, this is a must-see show for not only those who know and love jazz but for those who have only the vaguest notions of the music but quite like the noise it makes.
Over the last five years the show has been performed everywhere from a drawing room in a country house for 60 people to a sell out show for 900 at London’s Cadogan Hall.
Line-up: Pete Long (saxophones, flute, trumpet), Enrico Tomasso (trumpet, trombone, vocals), Nick Dawson (piano, clarinet, vocals), Dave Chamberlain (bass, guitars, banjo, piano, drums), Richard Pite (drums, sousaphone, double bass), Georgina Jackson (vocals, trumpet).
