Ropetackle Arts Centre is looking to appoint a Director to take on the principal role of managing the Centre and leading its future development.

Ropetackle Arts Centre has become established as one of the most successful arts centres in the region. Opened in 2007 and run by a charitable trust with three full-time employees and a team of sixty volunteers. We are now seeking to make the transition from the current management by trustees to a fully-salaried management team.

The new Director will be responsible for the overall management of the Centre and, jointly with another member of the team, for the Trust’s community engagement programme. The role will also include strategy and funding, programming and event management.

Candidates should have experience of venue management and funding, and of working collaboratively with artists, volunteers, and members of the community.

The appointment will be for an initial period of 18 month period on a part time (4 days per week) basis.
