Building links between business and the arts
Two well-known major property businesses have announced their sponsorship of Shoreham’s Ropetackle Arts Centre, marking another important milestone in the Centre’s development.
Following the recent opening of their Shoreham office, Oakley Property-one of the region’s leading residential and commercial estate agencies-made the announcement at a reception to celebrate 25th anniversary. The event was hosted by Ropetackle and, as well as great food and a good selection of drinks, the 200 guests were treated to live music from the South Coast Soul Revue.
Oakley has partnered Hyde Housing as joint sponsors, with Hyde currently undertaking the major Shoreham Waterfront development, which started on site earlier this year. Hyde are one of the foremost social housing providers in London and the South East and have many significant projects coming forward in the Shoreham area.
Chris Oakley, chairman of Oakley Commercial, said: “We are really looking forward to working collaboratively with Ropetackle, as it sits at the heart of the Shoreham community. Having recently opened an office in the town, it presents an excellent opportunity for us to help an important local charity, which clearly works tirelessly in the arts and culture sectors and adds greatly to the fabric of the town”.
Tom Shaw, operations director of Hyde Housing added: “It’s very important for Hyde to take an active role in the local communities where we are developing new social housing and having seen the great work done at Ropetackle and how it forms a hub role for the community, we are delighted to sponsor Ropetackle and help promote this great organisation.”
Ropetackle chairman, Martin Allen, said: “Set up in 2017 to celebrate Ropetackle’s 10th anniversary, the Business Friends’ Scheme offers a range of benefits to commercial organisations, including ongoing brand recognition within the local community, networking opportunities and corporate hospitality. We are absolutely delighted to welcome both Oakley and Hyde Housing to our growing community of Sponsors and Business Friends.”
