Ropetackle Café – Café Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for a Café Manager to manage both front-of-house and behind-the-scenes in this busy, 50-seater café.

What it’s like to work here: The Ropetackle Café is a lively and popular space situated at the heart of the Ropetackle Centre, a thriving arts hub in Shoreham by Sea. The Centre runs an extensive programme of community events and eclectic arts programme featuring some of the best national and international performers, so there is always a steady stream of patrons.

The café serves a wide range of cakes, lunches and snacks and was recently given the EAT WELL, EAT OUT Gold Award by Adur and Worthing Councils in recognition of its healthy choices.

What will you be doing?
You will be responsible for overseeing the full range of catering operations and delivering good customer service while ensuring heath and safety procedures are adhered to. Along with a small team, you will be involved in food preparation and cooking, and the day-to-day running of the café. You will be experienced in business management and be able to identify opportunities to strengthen the cafés financial sustainability.

Who are we looking for?
• You will already have some experience as a catering manager or supervisor and understand how to manage finances.
• You will be a positive role model
• You will be an excellent communicator
• You will be flexible and able to implement and introduce new ideas.

Salary: £16,500
