Janet Pressley Presents: The Poetry, Life & Times Of W.B. Yeats
William Butler Yeats (1865-1939) was one of the foremost figures of 20th century literature. Yeats was a driving force behind the Irish Literary Revival and, along with Lady Gregory and others, founded the Abbey Theatre in Dublin. In 1923 he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature, the first Irishman so honoured.
Janet Pressley taught English at secondary school for many years, and now teachers literature and creative writing to adults. Her 2012 workshop on Thomas Hardy was a sell-out success so do book early. Anthology of Yeats’ poetry provided.
The workshop runs from 2pm – 5.30pm.
