Shoreham Wordfest 2014: Poetry Of WW1

A workshop led by Janet Pressley. The workshop will begin with an overview of the history of war poetry, leading to a focus on the poetry of the First World War. It includes women’s poetry and working-class poetry, as well as the most well-known and celebrated poets of the time such as Thomas, Gurney, Rosenberg, Siegfried Sassoon, and Wilfred Owen. Janet teaches literature and creative writing to adults. Her workshops are always popular, so be sure to secure your ticket early.
