Conceived late one night in Brighton’s ever-pregnant musical underbelly, Derriere delivers a playfully raunchy mix of jumpin’ rhythm ‘n’ blues, old school rock & roll, vintage soul, and rockabilly.

Derriere is the sound of the devastating double bass playing of Blood Sugar Hill and wailing blues guitar of T Bone LeRhone. The formidable horn section features the thundering trombone of Gram Canyon, and reed bending saxophonist Helleanor Webb, blowing as if their lives depended upon it… All underpinned by the booty shaking rhythms of Redhand Mallon, at one time one of the most feared sticksmen in Portslade. At the forefront of this collection of raw, soulful, hipsters are the ball breaking, brassiere busting vocals of fireball front-woman Sarah Tonin.

We’re delighted to welcome back the wonderful Derriere – last time they played Ropetackle they damn near took the roof off! Please note, this is an all standing event.
