Bright and Beautiful

An evening dedicated to the life and work of Sue Wallis, stained glass artist and teacher (1951-2011) with music by Richard Durrant and Laura Ward and The Risen Road plus special guest Tim Lewis, stained glass artist, designer, maker and former Director of Studies at the internationally acclaimed Swansea Institute, South Wales.

Sue is missed by so many and this is an opportunity to see images of both her glass and her beautiful drawing and painting sketchbook and design work rarely seen but admired by many. The evening will be of interest, not only to those who knew Sue but anyone interested in art, glass, design, development of ideas and sketchbook work. All of which will be accompanied by beautiful live music whilst at the same time raising funds for an important local cause.

Donations made will support The Worthing Heart Fund, a fund initiated by Dr. Webb Peploe, Sue’s Consultant, to help the work of the Cardiac Department. We’ll also be exhibiting some of Sue’s beautiful work at Ropetackle so if you can’t make this event, you’ll have the chance to appreciate Sue’s amazing talent this summer. The exhibition dates are: 1st May – 30th May: Sue’s Working Drawings for Glasswork, 24th May – 30th June: Sue’s Glasswork.
